November 2022

[edit]

Information icon Hi Wordofmouf! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of an article several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. ■ ∃ Madeline ⇔ ∃ Part of me ; 18:10, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. I changed all their pronouns to they/them, which is what they went by out of drag :) I made an account solely to do that to honour them in their passing! Wordofmouf (talk) 18:22, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And when someone undid it, you did it again, then again once more. Another Believer pointed you towards Talk:Cherry Valentine, where there already is discussion of the correct pronouns to use; feel free to post there with your opinion. ■ ∃ Madeline ⇔ ∃ Part of me ; 19:05, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't recall redoing it, I just went through the sections individually and changed them, but perhaps they changed them faster than I was? To my knowledge, I only changed it once? Wordofmouf (talk) 19:47, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, I just noticed you changed different parts each time. I thought you were changing the same ones back and forth. Nothing to worry about in that case. ■ ∃ Madeline ⇔ ∃ Part of me ; 20:06, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, good haha. I was getting worried that it appeared I was doing that even though I was not. I joined the discussion page too, thanks. Wordofmouf (talk) 20:14, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
