Date changes on Jennifer Government: NationStates
[edit]Hello, Xaari! I've reverted your date changes again on Jennifer Government: NationStates. You probably weren't aware of this, but the date format for that article is day month year because it was the first format used in the article and because of Max Barry's nationality. Our style guidelines regarding dates (WP:DATESNO) ask that we stick with a consistent format (WP:DATERET), preferably the first format that was used, unless there are strong national ties indicating otherwise (WP:STRONGNAT). In this case, Max Barry is Australian (a nation which primarily uses the British dating system of day month year) and that is the format which was used first in the article, back in 2004. If you have any questions, feel free to respond on this page, as I'll have your Talk page watched for at least a couple of days. Cheers! Wyatt Riot (talk) 05:51, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Reply to Date changes on Jennifer Government: NationStates
[edit]Hello, I read the guidelines the first time but had interpreted the consistent format suggestion differently. There was one sentence in particular that began with using the 'day month year' format, yet at the end of the sentence 'month day year' was used. I thought that was what inconsistency encompassed, so I changed that and other similar instances. I understand that 'day month year' is perfectly acceptable, but I made the changes because I saw just as many uses of 'month day year' in the article. Nevertheless, thank you for bringing this to my attention! Xaari (talk) 23:38, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
- Now that you mention it, there are quite a few month day, year dates in there. I'll fix them before I forget. :) Cheers! Wyatt Riot (talk) 04:42, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
Hey! Based on your edits to NationStates, I thought maybe you would be interested that I started a series of userboxes for the game. Feel free to add any or add your own!-🐦Do☭torWho42 (⭐) 06:07, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
