Jac and Ron

[edit]

Hi - glad to meet someone else who's interested in these two artists.. and you're actually from France? That's cool. Have you seen Jac Berrocal live? Luminifer (talk) 15:41, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, many "speedy deletes" for pages are actually against wikipedia policy - it's a huge problem here. So, when someone tries to speedy delete, and if it's a real notable subject (like Anderson or Berrocal), you can easily contest it by saying it should AfD (SLOW delete), not speedy delete. You can look up the policies and see that a subject only has to _assert importance_, nothing about notability, in order to avoid speedy deletes. Just thought I'd help spread the word. :) Luminifer (talk) 17:59, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I was very fortunate to see Berrocal at his performance here in NYC at the Bowery Poetry club with Ron Anderson and the rest of PAK. That was AMAZING. One of the best shows I have ever seen! Luminifer (talk) 17:59, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
On wikipedia, you're supposed to BE BOLD. So do whatever changes you want - and I'll be watching anyway, so any problems with English, I will fix up... and if I didn't I'm sure someone else would (unless one of those reversion jerks popped up... ) Luminifer (talk) 18:41, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Although I think we may as well keep the two Ron and Molecules pages - maybe have Ron's disco have a link saying "see Molecules discog"... Luminifer (talk) 18:43, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, translating the Jac article is a great idea! You should also link to it at the bottom... Luminifer (talk) 18:59, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

[edit]

Thanks for your help on Jac and Ron's articles. I'll be leaving wikipedia, so just wanted to say that! Luminifer (talk) 03:42, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your kind words - I hope you can understand that even if I wanted to contribute, someone has tried to discover and reveal my identity publicly here. This isn't safe at all so I have to leave.. Thanks again, hope you have better experiences. Luminifer (talk) 06:06, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:23, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note. I've corrected the reference. Macdonald-ross (talk) 10:13, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
