[edit]

Oneiros,

What do you consider a "best link"?

Filling PDF forms from Excel is a very common task that business users try to do. However, it is not well known at all how to actually do this. FDF plus a little VBA is the FREE answer that thousands of people are searching for. The article that you removed the external link to explains the process very clearly with sample files, and is non-commercial.

Is there another location where this imnportant information should instead be located?

Regards,

External linking

[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to optical illusion. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you.

Specifically, see Wikipedia:External links#Links normally to be avoided. It doesn't matter if the link is non-commercial, as you stated in your edit summary. A personal blog simply isn't an appropriate external link on Wikipedia — especially if it's your own blog. ~Amatulić (talk) 22:56, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
