CH2M HILL
[edit]First off, the company spells its name with all caps.
Secondly, the location of Meridian, CO, is a small incorporated area unknown to the vast majority of readers outside the Denver metro area. It is trivia. It doesn't communicate location effectively to most readers. By listing the location as Denver, which represents the Denver SMSA, the company's location becomes immediately understandable to most people with a sense of U.S. Geography.
It is not misleading to list it as Denver. It is accurate and communicates effectively whereas "Meridian" serves only to confuse.
Please note that you are not being civil. You are cluttering the script of the article with comments. Please stop.
CH2M Hill
[edit]Of course the company is based in the "Denver SMSA", and the location could be indicated as shown below. But locations in infoboxes are not given in terms of metropolitan areas - they are given in terms of a city, town, or equivalent local jurisdiction -- and not in terms of a metropolitan or regional area.
CH2M Hill's corporate headquarters are at 9191 South Jamaica Street. This address is not located in the City and County of Denver. This address is, however, located within the area of Douglas County defined by the U.S. Census Bureau as Meridian. Meridian Business Park[1] is over 2.5 square miles in size and employs 8,500 people. The headquarters of several large national and international companies are located there. This rivals the downtown of any mid-size city -- i.e., it is NOT trivial.
"Pointless and confusing" not to use "Denver"? that may be your opinion, but in any case it is misleading and simply not true. We as Wikipedia editors have a responsibility to present the facts, "trivial" or otherwise. If we feel readers may have difficulty "comprehending" these facts, as you suggest, then it is also our responsibility to assist them - which the article does in its second sentence, explaining that the arguably "trivial" Meridian is a "Denver suburb". Thus readers are given all the information they need to "comprehend" the actual location, which is presented in the infobox consistently with those of other articles about companies.
Please note that I have civilly explained each edit that I have made and have made no threats to you. I would appreciate the same respect and consideration.

CH2M vs CH2M HILL
[edit]I saw that you moved CH2M to CH2M HILL, and claimed that the company name is still CH2M HILL, and that CH2M was a nickname. I know that for corporate filing and tax purposes, the company is still CH2M HILL, but the company rebranded itself as CH2M, and is phasing out the usage of the name CH2M HILL. So not a nickname but a rebranding. I am not sure if you knew that, and if that affects your moving of the title of the article within Wikipedia. Mburrell (talk) 00:59, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, but you're incorrect. It is a nickname and the company's legal name remains unchanged. It's very similar to GE for General Electric, GM for General Motors, and P&G for Procter and Gamble. Those companies' Wikipedia listings are under their full, legal name, and so should CH2M Hill's. zedshed (talk)
