Serena Williams
[edit]Serena Williams was one of the greatest athletes in the history of tennis. Zeinab Alamgard (talk) 13:13, 8 February 2024 (UTC) She stands as one of the most accomplished tennis champions in the open era, which commenced in 1968, marking the inclusivity of tennis tournaments for both professional and amateur players. Serena commenced her professional career in 1995, shortly before her fourteenth birthday, though she didn't transition to full-time tour participation until 1998. By the conclusion of 1999, she achieved a remarkable world ranking of #4 and has since held the coveted world No. 1 position for a total of 319 weeks.[1]

[edit]Hi Zeinab Alamgard! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Serena Williams that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. –CWenger (^ • @) 15:41, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you for your concern. What should I select instead of "minor edit" ? Zeinab Alamgard (talk) 17:03, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
