Welcome to Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello, Zemora95, and welcome to Wikipedia. I wanted to let you know why I reverted (undid) the changes you made to Ariel (city). Because of the contentious nature of the subject, new editors are not permitted to edit articles related to the Arab-Israeli conflict broadly construed. To qualify, an editor has to be registered for at least 30 days and make at least 500 edits. See WP:ARBPIA3#500/30 for details. — MShabazz Talk/Stalk 12:03, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Please note you are not supposed to edit topics related to the Israeli-Arab conflict until you have 500 edits and 30 days of tenure and are extended confirmed.Icewhiz (talk) 13:01, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I will add to this that if you make any further edits that could be reasonably construed as related to the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, you will be blocked from editing to prevent you from making more. GoldenRing (talk) 15:08, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Zemora95 One of the reasons you were reported is because of the edit summaries you are leaving. The whole idea of an edit summary is to recap the type of edit you have made. WP:EDITSUMCITE might be of use to you in that regard. In particular, please read "What to avoid in edit summaries". You are also urged to post your comments at the report linked above. — Maile (talk) 13:12, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
