State Route 208 (SR-208) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Utah. Spanning 10.2 miles (16.4 km), it serves as a north/south rural connector, connecting Utah State Route 32 with U.S. Route 40 in rural Duchesne County.

Route description

The route begins on US-40 about 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Fruitland in the Uintah Basin region of the state.[3] From there, it travels north approximately 8 miles (13 km) before turning to the east and winding down Golden Stair Canyon. After exiting the canyon, the route turns back to the north as it crosses the Duchesne River and ends at its intersection with SR-35 just southeast of Tabiona.[3]

History

State Route 208 was designated in 1941 by the Utah State Road Commission as running "from a point on route 6 approximately six miles east of Fruitland in Duchesne County, thence northerly to route 35 at a point near Tabiona".[2] The route has remained unchanged since then.

Major intersections

The entire route is in rural Duchesne County.
