Vandercook Lake High School is a high school in Jackson, Michigan, United States. It is the home of the Jayhawk and they compete in the Cascades Conference.
History
From the beginnings of the school up until the 1930s the school had no mascot. The athletic coach at the time, Russell Sheathelm, proposed that the student body vote on one. After several nominations the student body voted on the Jayhawk to become the school's symbol.[1]
