The veilkini is a brand of swimsuits marketed for Islamic women, similar in style to the burqini.[1] It consists of a pair of pants and a long sleeved tunic type shirt with a hood attached with pieces clipped or tied together. This feature prevents the shirt from riding up in the water.[2] Additionally, it has a drawstring at the ankles so the pant legs do not ride up as well.[2] It is constructed of a blend of polyester and spandex, and covers the entire body excluding hands, feet, and face (to preserve Sartorial Hijab modesty).
