Irrel was a former Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the district Bitburg-Prüm, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The seat of the Verbandsgemeinde was in Irrel. On 1 July 2014 it merged into the new Verbandsgemeinde Südeifel.[1]

The Verbandsgemeinde Irrel consisted of the following Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities"):

  4. Eisenach
  5. Ernzen
  1. Ferschweiler
  2. Gilzem
  3. Holsthum
  4. Irrel
  5. Kaschenbach

  5. Prümzurlay
  1. Schankweiler
  2. Wallendorf
