Volume is a 2012 short film directed by Mahalia Belo and written by Anna Ingeborg Topsøe starring Joe Cole and Anna Brewster.[1] It won the Best British Short film at the 2012 Moët British Independent Film Awards[2] and the Grand Jury Prize for Best Film at San Francisco Shorts 2013. It was also part of the official selection at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival[3] while also appearing at numerous other film festival. Volume was director Mahalia Belo's graduation short at the National Film and Television School (NTFS).

Plot[4]

When you don't know, truth is just what you decide it is.

Sam lives in a place where everything is polished and secrets are cleaned up and kept. So when Georgina goes missing, everyone acts like nothing happened. But Sam can't stop thinking about her, the enigma who lived next door, swimming daily in her pool. As Sam drifts back into his memories of Georgina, he comes to realize he may know more than he wants to remember.
