WTMN is a commercial radio station in Gainesville, Florida, broadcasting to the Gainesville-Ocala, Florida area on 1430 AM. WTMN's programming is primarily Gospel music, mostly from the Sheridan Gospel Network's The Light.

History

WTMN signed on the air in April 1988 with 2.5 KW power, daytime only and the call sign WWLO. It was diplexed to the WDVH tower (then WLUS) on SE 27th street in Gainesville, Florida. The station initially broadcast an Urban format. That format was moved to sister station WTMG in 1993. After that, several attempts were made to launch a sports radio format, none were successful because the dominant Gainesville team, the University of Florida Gators, were locked up with WRUF, the University's commercial radio station.

The station finally settled on Gospel radio in 2001.

In 2003 the station upgraded its day time power to 10,000 watts and in 2004 the station added 45 watts of night time power.
