Walkers Tours is a destination management company based in Sri Lanka[1][2] that operates inbound tours. The company is a destination management operator.[3] It also manages the brand Nature Odyssey,[4] which caters to nature and adventure travel. Walkers Tours is part of the inbound leisure division of John Keells Holdings (JKH), the country's largest listed conglomerate on the Colombo Stock Exchange.

History
With the social and economic change that arose from the island nation becoming the Republic of Sri Lanka in 1972, John Keells Holdings had the opportunity to expand and diversify. Understanding the value of travel and tourism, JKH acquired Walkers Travels, which was founded in the year 1969.[6]
Philanthropy
As part of its goal to promote sustainable tourism, Walkers launched a carbon neutral fleet in 2012, ensuring that the 600 vehicle fleet's emissions are offset by carbon credits from the [[Carbon Neutral Company[7]]] in the United Kingdom.[8]]] With this initiative, Walkers Tours Limited became the first destination management company in Asia to operate a carbon neutral fleet.[9] Walkers Tours is recently honored for achieving double digit carbon emission reduction and was offered the certification[10] as the only tour operator of the country with internationally certified Carbon Neutral vehicle fleet.
