Walking Street Entrance Nightview

Walking Street is a famous and vibrant part of the city of Pattaya Thailand. It is a location that is well-known to many tourists visiting Thailand, as well as Thai people from many parts of the country. Walking Street runs from the south end of Beach Road to the Bali Hai Pier, and there are entrance arches at either end. The street is traffic-free at night from 6:00 pm to 2 am, and car parking is at the Bali Hai end.

Night life

There are go-go (dancing girls) bars, beer bars, discothèques, sports bars, and night clubs. As of February 2008 there were over 50 air conditioned go-go bars in the street itself and adjoining sois. The street is also known for the large amount of glowing colored neon signs which illuminate the street at night. The city's prostitution is concentrated here at night. In the earlier part of the evening one can also find live bands and fine dining. The legal closing time is 2:00 am. Walking street is most vibrant on Saturday nights.

Visitor safety

Although this part of the city is safe, pickpocketing is a common problem. Travelers should follow the same basic safety rules here as they would in any other unfamiliar city. Offering the exact change, for anything from a taxi to buying drinks, is always a good idea in order to avoid any misunderstandings. As in others cities, visitors should stay in the well-lit areas. Tourist police have tables set up on the Beach Road end of the street. Although some western visitors drink heavily in the bars, this does not usually cause problems.This is the best place in the world! Disneyland for adults!
