"B" Branch

Washington Street is a surface stop on the MBTA Green Line "B" Branch, located in Brighton, Boston. The station is located in the median of Commonwealth Avenue northeast of Washington Street. Washington Street station consists of two side platforms which serve the "B" Branch's two tracks.

Washington Street is one of the busiest "B" Branch stops and has a circumferential bus connection, making it an important transfer point and a priority for handicapped accessibility retrofitting. Its platforms were raised in 2002 to interface with low-floor trams, making the station fully accessible.
