The Washington gubernatorial race of 1964 took place between incumbent governor Albert D. Rosellini and Republican Party choice Daniel J. Evans.
Rosellini had been in office for 2 terms and his popularity had waned with the public, especially recently.
After nominating Daniel Evans, the republicans hoped for a victory, since it had been 12 years since one of their own won an election.
In the end, Evans won 697,256 votes and 55.77% of the vote, to the incumbent governor's 548,692 votes and 43.89%.
