Wayne Wapeemukwa
Wayne Wapeemukwa is a Canadian film director and screenwriter.[1] He is most noted for his feature film debut Luk'Luk'I, which won the Toronto International Film Festival Award for Best Canadian First Feature Film at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival[2] and the Directors Guild of Canada's Discovery Award.[3]
Prior to Luk'Luk'I he directed a number of short films, including Foreclosure, Balmoral Hotel, Srorrim and a shorter version of Luk'Luk'I.[4] Balmoral Hotel was named to the Toronto International Film Festival's "Canada's Top Ten" list for short films in 2015.[5]
