Werner Forman

Werner Forman (13 January 1921 in Prague – 13 February 2010 in London) was a Czech photographer, especially known for his art books on Ancient civilisations and non-European cultures. He published more than 80 books with his photographic images. The texts were mostly written by specialists in the area. From 1968 on he lived and work mainly in London but also travelled to many places and museums.
