Wes Hurley is an American movie director, writer and producer.[1] He is known for his ongoing collaborations with Seattle's popular theater, drag, and cabaret performers and artists including Waxie Moon, Sarah Rudinoff, Jinkx Monsoon, BenDeLaCreme, Jackie Hell, and others. Born and raised in Vladivostok, Russia Hurley is best known for raising awareness of human rights violations in Russia and for his cult films including Waxie Moon, Waxie Moon in Fallen Jewel, Zolushka, Peter and the Wolf and the popular series Capitol Hill.[2][3][4][5][6]

In 2013 Hurley was chosen as one of the Artists of the Year by City Arts Magazine along with Megan Griffiths, Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, and Jinkx Monsoon.[7]

In 2014 Hurley premiered his original comedy series Capitol Hill on Huffington Post. He was chosen as a Person to Watch in 2015 by The Advocate.[8][9]
