Western Champion, 7 January 1898

The Western Champion was a weekly English language newspaper published in Parkes, New South Wales, Australia.

History

The Western Champion began in 1893 and was published by M.J. Little. It ceased in 1934 and merged with the Champion Post to form the Parkes Post.[1] The paper consisted mainly of advertising and news columns once a month.

Digitisation

The various versions of the paper have been digitised as part of the Australian Newspapers Digitisation Program[2] project hosted by the National Library of Australia.[3]
