The Ancient Egyptian Wick hieroglyph is Gardiner sign listed no. V28 for the wick of a lamp-(or "types of small whisk brooms"(?)).

The wick hieroglyph is used in the Ancient Egyptian language hieroglyphs for the alphabetic consonant letter h.[1] A second and equivalent h hieroglyph is the plan view of a reed shelter,
