The '''Wickenheiser International Women's Hockey Festival presented by Samsung''' is an international female junior [[Ice Hockey]] tournament sponsored by Samsung and is the brainchild of [[Hayley Wickenheiser]]. The tournament will have its inaugural year in 2010 when it is held in [[Burnaby]], [[British Columbia]] on April 1st to 4th. The festival is an event where young women can engage in world-class competition; make friends from around the world; improve their hockey skills and learn from [[Hayley Wickenheiser]] who will be involved in all aspects of the on and off-ice events.

Over the course of four days, 32 teams (over 600+ players) will compete and connect while building positive female hockey experiences across all levels.

The tournament is a round robin format with Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget and Junior/Senior teams participating.
=Tournament Play=
The tournament is a 4 game guarantee, round robin format. Every team participates in at least 1 playoff game. Games are formated for 3, 15 minute stop-time periods.
Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget and Junior/Senior teams are able to participate.

=Additional Events=
*Beyond the Minors - What's next for young players both in and out of the game.
*Equipment Clinics - A chance to try out new gear and get properly fitted by experts.
*Fuelling for Gold - An examination of the contributing factors for on and off-ice success including nutrition, rest and fitness.
*Hot Stove - A roundtable discussion
*Parents as ‘Coaches' - A question and answer period with Tom and Marilyn Wickenheiser. (Parents only session)
*Coach's Clinic - Tips, tricks, suggestions and insights on coaching women delivered by high-level female coaching personalities.
*On-ice demonstrations
*A Skills competition

=Charitable Contributions=
The Festival will donate a portion of the proceeds of the tournament and 100% of the profit from 50/50's, raffles and silent auctions to [[Right to Play]] and KidSport.

The Wickenheiser International Women's Hockey Festival presented by Samsung is an annual international female junior Ice Hockey tournament. The tournament was the brainchild of Canadian Female Hockey Player Hayley Wickenheiser. The tournament will have its inaugural year in 2010 when it is held in Burnaby, British Columbia on April 1st to 4th.
