Have you read the AMA FAQ?

  • Answer:Yes

How would you describe the nature of this dispute? (policy violation, content dispute, personal attack, other)

  • Answer:Personal Attack

What methods of Dispute Resolution have you tried so far? If you can, please provide wikilinks so that the Advocate looking over this case can see what you have done.

  • Answer:I have tried (in the talk page listed) to engage the person in reasonable, logical debate regarding the subject. The party in question is convinced that I am a member of some organization "Team418" and makes many references to my having some pro-OTO agenda. I assure you that I am not a member of the OTO, nor do I harbor any personal ill-will towards Gerald Del Campo.

What do you expect to get from Advocacy?

  • Answer:I want Solis93 to stop attacking me, to stop insulting and insinuating that I am a member of the OTO, or that I am in some way grinding a personal axe against Mr. Del Campo. I want the "fat-headed" remarks removed from his very ad hominem posts regarding me.

Summary:

[edit]

I made an AfD request for the article about Gerald Del Campo, an occultist of some small merit but not one of such merit as to be worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia. Many people agreed with my assertion and the article was deleted. After this, Solis93 began reposting the article and began insinuating that I was a member of an occult organiztion called "OTO" or "Ordo Templi Orientis." I am a former member of OTO but am not a member now (nor shall I ever be a member of OTO again!) In the discussion page for Gerald Del Campo, Solis93 began demanding I explain why I did not tag other occultist's pages for deletion. I explained my stance quite clearly (using the two persons Solis93 listed as examples.) His response was immediately hostile. I then did a Google search for Solis93 and discovered a LiveJournal page for this individual (this person is linked to Mr. Del Campo via the "Order of Thelemic Knights.") I brought this up, and explained that Wikipedia articles must be based on a neutral poit of view and that it was conceivable that Solis93 was making his claims for Mr. Del Campo in an effort to promote the OTK's agenda. Solis93 resonded again, making extremely hostile remarks, calling my personal Wikipedia page "fat-headed" as well as "pompous" and "self-serving." I consider these to be personal attacks given the overwhelmig negativity involved.
