Discussion
[edit]Support - I've seen issues with mass messages occur quite a few times recently. While they should be checked before being delivered, I can't see why a bot can't be allowed to fix them. Saves an annoying notification as well. RhinosF1(chat)(status)(contribs) 21:13, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Potential trial: I asked headbomb about a potential trial, because I saw a mass message go out with an error. To fix it, I would find-and-replace the regex

To fix the link. Talk pages consultation 2019 should be Wikipedia:Talk pages consultation 2019. --DannyS712 (talk) 08:48, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Correct a mass-message error - BOT in trial - [[Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/DannyS712 bot 8|BRFA]]
--DannyS712 (talk) 08:52, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- @DannyS712: I don't see that message on my talk page, but no matter. Could you add the erroneous message to my talk page before going to trial, and make sure to trial on my talk page as well at the others, this way I can check if I get a notice from the bot?
- Once that's done Approved for trial (10 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete., with one of those being from my talk page. As a side note, I don't really see a need for regex here, but you do it however you prefer. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 08:55, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- @Headbomb: Thank you so much for the quick responses, but unfortunately the sender beat me to it ([2]). I see what you mean about the regex, and will change that. Can this approval carry over to the next time a mass message goes out with an error? I would add the message to your user talk too. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 09:02, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
