Function details: Uses Category:Pages with archiveurl citation errors as a generator. For articles containing the archiveurl part of the cite web template, but not having the regular url part (which is required, or else it generates an error), the bot adds a url tag by grabbing the archiveurl, stripping out the archive bit of that url, and then copying it into the url tag. Here's an example.

Discussion

As the person who requested this bot, obviously I support this becoming a proper one. I've seen it a few times where people haven't put the url in, and anything that gets rid of those bright red errors is good for me! Lukeno94 (tell Luke off here) 06:58, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
