- Create a Wikipedia account, create a user page, and sign up on the list of students on the course page.
- To practice editing and communicating on Wikipedia, introduce yourself to one of the class's Online Ambassadors (via talk page), and leave a message for a classmate on their user talk page.
- Assignment, To be completed no later than April 11 2012
- Identify 3-5 existing Wikipedia articles related to the class material and a brief comment (3-5 sentences) as to why you chose the articles. Post to your user page.
- Based upon instructor feedback, critically evaluate one of those existing Wikipedia articles and leave suggestions (250 words minimum) for improving it on the article's discussion page. Make sure to include a rationale as to how the suggestions will, in fact, improve the article.
- Notify the course instructor when you have completed the review
