Original – Historic U.S. Route 66 outside Amboy, California. Established on November 11, 1926, it was one of the original highways within the U.S. Highway System. It served as a major path for those who migrated west, especially during the Dust Bowl of the 1930s, and was a part of 1960s popular culture.

Reason

Perhaps a little standard in composition, but it illustrates the road well, and the iconic Route 66 shields.
