Coordinator for the US National Archives WikiProject

The National Archives WikiProject seeks a coordinator to help reboot the project and work on new initiatives! This is not (at this time) an official National Archives position, but is modeled after other Wikiproject coordinators, like the WikiProject Military History coordinators, Guild of Copy Editors coordinators, and WikiProject Film coordinators.

The coordinator will work with Dominic, the Wikipedian in Residence, in organizing the WikiProject's efforts on-wiki. This might include improving and updating the WikiProject's pages, creation of a better portal for open tasks, promotion of the WikiProject and current and future initiatives (like the DYK and featured article challenges), documenting our progress, tagging and assessing articles, and generally serving as the main point of contact and organizer for the WikiProject. New ideas to make the project work better for Wikipedia are encouraged. Our goal is for the WikiProject to be a sustainable collaboration by the Wikipedians, not run by the National Archives alone.

The role calls for good communication and design skills, and additional experience, such as in other WikiProjects, Wikipedia's many noticeboards, the DYK, GA, and FA processes and article-writing more generally, images and Commons, template coding, or Wikisource would all be useful.
