Keep Derivative work, fair use in demonstrating the change in art style, no free substitute, relevant section can be rewritten in an encyclopedic way. Issues with the section do not propogate into issues with the image. I'd say it shows how the hair was changed from the 80s "big hair" to a more reduced design, while the antennae grew in relative size. Belldandy's eyebrows were reduced, while the forehead-decoration grew in size. Her chin grew smaller and less rounded as the years went on. Similarly, she went from having a large nose (by manga standards) to a relatively small one. Her wardrobe also changed, although this picture doesn't depict that well. Having read the original work, I'm willing to say that this change was true of all the character designs. Overall, I think this is a good use of non-free content, to illustrate changes in how the characters are drawn over the course of a 20-year run. Looking at the FUR, it's not perfect. On the fence on this one. On the one hand, this article, finally, does what we always say they should do: analysis, in the text, supported by the image. On that criterion, this would be a rare positive example of how such images should be used. On the other hand, there's one big problem with that: The analysis is unsourced and apparently original research. I would argue that, like the plot summary, this can be be sourced to the original work. I mean, all we're doing is describing the changes in the character. If we don't require a source to be able to say "Belldandy has forehead-marks", I don't see why we'd require a source to say "Belldandy's forehead-marks have gotten bigger over the years."
