|Details||Users of the Knol service have been known to upload Wikipedia articles in whole or in part. It is possible to release Knol articles under a Wikipedia-compatible license (CC-BY-SA 3.0). In practice, however, most Wikipedia copiers on Knol upload articles using the incompatible CC-BY license and do not bother to credit the original authors via mention of Wikipedia or any other means.|

I have dropped a note on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Computing#Knol site infringing on Wikipedia articles about computing, after flagging a few infringing Knol articles to no effect, but I have made no more further contact with Knol as I am not one of the contributors. -84user (talk) 16:21, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
