Windows 7 alt+up, alt+left

[edit]

In Windows 7, alt+up and alt+left etc current rotate screen orientation. Is there a way to remap the function of this so that it does something else - eg plays a sound file? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Duomillia (talkcontribs) 13:13, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm fairly certain that AutoHotkey will do want you want.--Kateshortforbob talk 14:43, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This is probably a function of the video driver software. You should find an icon in the notification area on the task bar (may be hidden) that if right-clicked, allows you to change video settings including assigning hotkeys that control screen orientation. Intel do this for their embedded graphics controllers for instance. The only option may simply be to disable the functionality. 86.128.19.188 (talk) 20:34, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You may have to disable the keys in the video driver and use AutoHotKey as Kateshortforbob suggests... 86.128.19.188 (talk) 20:38, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
