[edit]Diagonal of the rectangle
[edit]The diagonal of a square is 45 degrees. The diagonal of a rectangle measuring 10 cm height and 20 cm base, how many degrees does it have? 5.168.1.240 (talk) 21:20, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Because you know the opposite and adjacent side lengths, you can compute the inverse tangent. --Kinu t/c 21:36, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Another way to work it out is to use your triangle relations. See Solution of triangles. The "Side-angle-side" solution should work, because you know two sides (20 cm and 10 cm) and angle between them (90 degrees for a rectangle). --Jayron32 12:51, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks! --5.168.1.240 (talk) 14:22, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
