the word "Schlacht" as it refers to a pogrom would more appropriately mean "slaughter". Although it can mean battle, since it was a pogrom, slaughter would be more appropriate. (Regarding translation in parentheses within article).

Thank you for acknowledging my suggestion. Although it's a more precise translation, one would probably use the term massacre in every-day English usage. Even so, you did a a very fine job translating such a difficult page. Torfrid (talk) 02:51, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
