Wikipedia:WikiProject Civil engineering/to do

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As editors join the project, offering their help, they may not know where to start. Here's a list of tasks that either need regular attention or fulfill the goals of our project:

  1. The article civil engineering needs to have the "sub-disciplines" and "careers" sections referenced and details added. We would like to bring this article to good article, and, eventually, featured article status.
  2. The Category:Hydraulic engineering and Category:Transportation engineering categories need to be populated and organized.
  3. The civil engineering banner needs to be placed on more talk pages of appropriate articles to serve as advertisement and enable assessment.
  4. Articles related to mass wasting need to be cleaned up and aggregated into a category. A navbox may also be appropriate for this series, and working with WP:GEOLOGY may be appropriate.
  5. There are civil engineering stubs that need expanding.
  6. Please provide input regarding addition of parameter "construction manager" to Template:Infobox building in talk page Template talk:Infobox building
  7. Please consider adding a description of the process of "soil surcharging" as a ground stabilization technique for enabling the building of structures on otherwise unstable soils. Google has a lot on it, and some Wikipedia articles mention it, but nowhere on-wiki is what is it described.
