The Lights Camera Wiki! / Heritage video initiative is a part of WikiProject Lights Camera Wiki, in collaboration with Wikimedia New York City. Its purpose is to encourage a broader public creation of video content exploring the idea of heritage.

Participants are encouraged to produce short videos that exemplify a sense of heritage, with the videos being used to enhance the corresponding Wikipedia articles for these locations.

Guidelines[edit]

Heritage can refer to several different concepts, including:

  • Natural heritage - the geology, landscape, and natural resources of an area
  • Cultural heritage - the legacy of physical artifacts and intangible attributes of a group or society
  • Food heritage
  • Tradition - customs and practices inherited from ancestors
  • Kinship - the relationship between entities that share a genealogical origin

See the main Lights Camera Wiki page for general video workflow instructions.
