John Hart is a New Zealand politician who was elected to the New Zealand parliament at the 2017 general election as a representative of the Green Party.

Biography[edit]

Career before Parliament[edit]

Hart moved to the Wairarapa in 2008 and began farming sheep and cattle. In 2015 set up 'Fab Lab', a technology hub in Masterton.[1]

Hart contested Wairarapa for the Greens at the 2014 New Zealand general election and was ranked 17th on the party list.[2][3] With the Greens winning 14 seats, he did not enter Parliament. Hart stood again in 2017; he was ranked 12th but the Green Party only won 8 seats.

Hart ran again in in the 2020 general election.
