The railroad of Pickens Railroad Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track, steam-operated, standard-gauge railroad, located entirely within the State of South Carolina. Its main line extends from Easley to Pickens. The total length of its main line is 8.527 miles. The carrier also owns yard tracks and sidings totaling 1.462 miles. Its road thus embraces 9.989 miles of all tracks owned.


Corporate history.—The carrier was incorporated May 10, 1892, under the general laws of South Carolina, for the purpose of constructing and operating a railroad extending from Easley to Pickens. The detailed facts with respect to the development of fixed physical property are given in Appendix 2.
