Location and general description of property.—The railroad of the St. Louis & Hannibal Railroad Company, hereinafter called the carrier, consists of 103.241 miles of single-track standard-gauge steam railroad, located in the State of Missouri. It comprises a main line extending from Hannibal to Gilmore, with a branch line extending from Ralls Junction to Perry. In addition it owns and uses 9.769 miles of yard tracks and sidings, making a total of 113.010 miles of all tracks.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated December 7, 1917, under the general laws of the State of Missouri, as a reorganization of the St. Louis and Hannibal Railway Company whose property it acquired by deed dated December 31, 1917. [...]

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned mileage of the carrier, amounting to 103.241 miles, was acquired by it through reorganization from its predecessor, the St. Louis and Hannibal Railway Company. The company received title to the property on December 31, 1917, and began operating it on January 1, 1918. This mileage had been constructed by predecessor companies, as indicated in the following statement.
