This is a first year writing/composition course. We will be working to refine sensibilities of genre and style, and understanding various writerly and rhetorical cultures and conventions. Our course theme is around disability, intersectionality, and access at Georgetown. We will read theoretical texts that encourage us to expand how we understand equity and access, and we will practice a variety of modes of writing with a goal of effective communication towards a social justice goal. The wiki project will allow students to immerse themselves in a particular online writing culture, while simultaneously working to enhance equity and representation on the platform.

    • If possible, I'd love the ability to connect with others who have previously taught an introductory writing course using wiki edu.
