The wiki mind or wiki spirit is the fundamental presumptions of the author of this page.

  1. To assume good faith. This is the very basic presumption that every Wikipedia user must have.
    • What to do if you later realize that this presumption is not true?
      1. Do not use Wikipedia, or
      2. Just pretend to believe that this is true
  2. Respect for freedom and equality among Wikipedia users in editing the page.
  3. Focus on creation-oriented editing rather than suppression-oriented editing.
    • creation-oriented editing is, for example, creating new pages, adding more information
    • suppression-oriented editing is, for example, page deletion, blocking user, protecting page
  4. To be bold in updating pages
