Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a game of UNO
Appearance
This is an essay. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints. |
This page in a nutshell: You don't really need to rush to make edits. If you find something, (i.e. vandalism, lies) be bold and do it yourself. But Wikipedia is a volunteer service, so don't expect worship. |
The general rules of the card game UNO are as follows
- Any card played must be the same color or number as the one previously dealt.
- When one only has one card left, they must call out "Uno!"
- The first to call remove all of their cards from their hand wins.
However, this is not the case on Wikipedia (particularly the tertiary). On Wikipedia, there is no deadline. Also, Wikipedia is not about winning. That is not to say, if it is a major edit needed on a major article, it will likely be done for you if you don't do it.
