"Philanthropist" should not be listed alongside professions.
[edit]For example, the first sentence of Warren Buffett's article is currently "Warren Edward Buffett (/ˈbʌfɪt/ BUF-it; born August 30, 1930) is an American businessman, investor, and philanthropist who currently serves as the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway."
Everything *except* for the word "philanthropist" is concerned with how he makes his money, and that is how most professionals are introduced on Wikipedia. But for the most successful among them, the additional word "philanthropist" is added to describe one of the things that they (ostensibly) spend money on. We don't learn about Obama's extensive stamp collection† alongside the fact that he was the 44th POTUS, so I don't know why someone who claims a tax write-off for putting local shoemakers out of business in some small town gets a word that literally means "lover of people" added to their job description.
†I made up the part about the stamp collection, but you get the point.
