Appearance
The appearance of this page should be identical to the Main Page, with two exception: 1) blue background, not white, and 2) title not hidden. It needs to be checked with every browser version to ensure compliance - if you have a browser which isn't listed below as already having been checked, please do a comparison (purge your cache beforehand!) and list the browser if the two pages are identical. - Safari 3.1.1 on WinXP - does not work with the greenscreen gadget, all non-wikilinked words disappear, and some pictures (eg the atom) do not display correctly. DuncanHill (talk) 07:48, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Is that the one which turns the screen black and all text green? Happy‑melon 14:24, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, that's the one, I use it because the normal display gives me eyestrain. I will just have a look to see what it is like in IE7 with the greenscreen gadget. DuncanHill (talk) 21:40, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Same problem with IE7 so obviously a problem with the gadget. I will correct myself a little, most non-wikilinked text does not appear, but the text in headings does display, as does the text for todays featured picture and below that. I will try to make a screenshot to illustrate (if I can remember how). DuncanHill (talk) 21:44, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Here is a screenshot, it will probably be deleted soon as apparently it is forbidden to use screenshots of Wikipedia on Wikipedia in an attempt to improve Wikipedia, or at least that is my experience. Image:Mainpageskinned1.JPG The screenshot is on IE7 but the problem is identical with Safari. DuncanHill (talk) 21:59, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- The screenshot is going to be deleted if anyone is still watching this page. Good luck. DuncanHill (talk) 08:46, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
