Wikipedia talk:TRUTH

This redirect was nominated at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion on March 29, 2013. The result of the discussion was Retarget to Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth.

There have certainly been a lot of reverts to this redirect, with no discussion whatsoever. The top two candidates are:

A self-described humorous essay WP:The Truth
A Wikipedia guideline about "WP:Verifiability, not Truth"

In the Pillar/Policy/Guideline/Essay hierarchy, the guideline trumps the essay.

An edit summary claims "thousands" of article link to the joke, but in fact hundreds of Talk pages intend to link to the guideline WP:V. Switching the link to the joke disrupts the sense of discussion.

Therefore, IMHO:

WP:TRUTH should be a DAB page, until some administrative action resolves this. On May 31, 2011, I will make this a disambiguation page, so that NO wikilinks are "lost" or "misdirected".

There seem to be three relevant essays ("The Truth", "Truth" and "Verifiability, not truth"). While the page view statistics show that the humorous essay is still the primary meaning over the other two, the WP:V point is good so I agree with turning this into a dab page.
