Video game articles[edit]

With the Good Article standards, what do we do about sources? the sources can't very well be quoted with video clips from the game, do we just ignore it in terms of aspects of gameplay? I'd like to give 1 or 2 articles good article status but I don't know if they meet the criteria or not. Homestarmy 19:59, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It would be possible to reference critical appreciation of the game (game reviews in magazines and online can be referenced in the standard way). Some aspects of gameplay might be tougher. There are always the game manuals. For some other games there are "complete guides", cheatbooks and various other texts available that could be referenced accordingly. Unfortunately some things are difficult to reference in that way. For instance, AFAIK it is possible to complete Deus Ex without the player actually killing another game character. I don't know this because I did it myself, or because I've ever seen anyone else do it, or because I found an official manual declaring it to be possible, or because there is an interview with a developer (another possible citable source!) declaring it to be possible. I know it because it got discussed on an online forum linked to by the article's talk page (if I rememeber correctly!) in which one member declares how he did it and several disbelieving members confirmed they got it to work. How citable is that? Tricky :-/ But there are potential citable sources out there for a lot of material, the problem is finding them! TheGrappler 23:59, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Collaboration of the week[edit]

I created the page for the Good Article Collaboration of the week I would like to ask anyone who reads this to go to it and see if there was anything that was missed.
