Brentford
Young was in the team for Brentford's first ever game in the Football League on 28 August 1920, which ended in a 3–0 defeat to fellow Division Three side Exeter City.[3] Young battled for the number one jersey with cricketer Jack Durston, but eventually made the position his own, making 94 consecutive appearances between September 1922 and October 1924.[1] He left the club at the end of the 1924–25 season, having made 180 appearances.[1] Young was the club's record Football League appearance-maker until his total was overtaken by Jack Lane.[1]
