Winds of Plague

Winds of Plague, (Often abbreviated to "WoP") is a six piece deathcore band based in Upland, California, in the United States.

Overview

They were originally named "Bleak December", but changed their name to "Winds of Plague" in April 2005, getting their name from lyrics in Unearth's song "Endless," from their 2002 EP of the same name.

Winds of Plague combines elements of deathcore and symphonic metal.

They are currently on the "Blackest of the Black" tour with the bands Danzig, Dimmu Borgir, Skeletonwitch, and Moonspell.[2]

They have also toured throughout the continental United States opening for other acts such as Impending Doom[3], Veil of Maya[4] and As Blood Runs Black[5] as well as played at festivals such as the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.[6]

The first single from their major label debut, entitled "The Impaler", was accompanied by a video that was banned by MTV for its language and content.[7]
