Wolf Ewert (31 July 1905 – 16 March 1994) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Wolf Ewert was captured by American troops in April 1945 in the Ruhr Pocket and was held until 1947.
