Wolfgang Herz (born 1950)[1] is a German businessman, co-owner of the German coffee shop and retail chain Tchibo.

Family business

Herz is the son of Max and Ingeburg Herz.[1] His father co-founded Tchibo in 1949 with Carl Tchilinghiryan.

In 2003, he sold his stake of the business to three family members. The company is now 100% owned by his mother, and two of his brothers Michael and Wolfgang Herz.

Personal life

According to Forbes, Herz has a net worth of $4.1 billion, as of January 2015.[1] Herz lives in Hamburg.[1]
